This July 25th, I will have survived 4 years. I knew when I heard the words from the doctor, that my life, as I knew it, was about to change. I was determined to make that change for the better.

I am blessed with a husband, and 4 beautiful daughters (inside and out). They went through my cancer with me.

Also knowing that LAUGHTER is the best medicine, I played while I had the disease. When I was sick and bald, we all had fun with the wig, taking silly pictures. My girls bought me some beautiful scarves and helped learn how to wear them. Hats were great to laugh at too.

Today my cancer days are a memory, a great memory, and I know I’m blessed to have survived. I try to help whenever I hear of any newly diagnosed sisters, and I try always to get them to see the humor in the changes that take place. From loss of body image, and hopefully rebuilding, to loss of hair, to feeling weird from the chemo, etc.

Cancer isn’t funny, but I know from how I was able to go through it, making fun of it all helped me to know that I would survive and be here to help others survive.

I’ve been wearing my Save the ta-tas sweatshirt to the gym where I workout, and it has started a lot of conversations about breast cancer. I tell all the women in the locker room my story of how lucky I am to have my ta-tas. If I had skipped another year of mammograms I would probably be dead. It has prompted many to call and make their appointment! I’m gonna be a survivor with both my ta-tas intact minus a fraction of one…LOL. I love my SAVE THE TA-TAS!

Your website is so awesome! My aunt died 5 years ago this Mother’s Day, and it has been so hard to deal with each passing year. What your doing is amazing and inspirational and I want to thank you so much. I plan to buy a few things when ever possible. Thank you again for everything you do!

I received my order in the mail yesterday afternoon, and I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with everything. The quality of the items are wonderful, and everything fits perfectly. I ordered the “Save a Life, Grope Your Wife” Tee for my husband as a gift (along with a couple of things for me!), and I can’t wait until he opens it!

I cannot thank you enough for your wonderful products. I usually try to buy several stickers when I order so I can hand them out. I have some of the stickers on my jeep (on the front and side) and have gotten the usual question “what are ta-tas?” When I explain, I give them a sticker and life is laughter and fun. I also share the stickers when I see people at red lights take a double take. I’ve had to put the stickers on the jeep since my magnets have mysteriously disappeared!
I also recently met a young lady with autism who loved my pink camo hat. I guess her mom is a survivor. Anyway, she asked where I got it and I told her she could just have it. She was so excited and was telling everyone in the store where they could go to get the hat (I told her the website has the same name). I saw several people writing down the name of your website. Anyway, she was very proud of her new hat. Thanks for having them available so I could put some serious fun in this young lady’s day.

My mom died 5 years ago from breast cancer after a short but courageous battle at age 58. I was diagnosed in December, 2009 at age 42, and I have had a lumpectomy and I am on my way to recovering fully. I knew very little about save the ta-tas until a friend gave me a sweatshirt. I wear it every time I have a chance, and it always makes everyone smile…even my proper 85 year old Grandma. LOL
