‘Save the ta-tas’ I love this slogan. It represents both breast cancer survivors and previvors. I have the BRCA1 gene so had a prophylactic mastectomy in order to prevent me from getting breast cancer in future. Surgery may have saved my life…but this charity may one day “save the tatas” of someone just like me. So for those of you who find it offensive…I wish I could have saved my tatas so I didn’t have to have surgery to save my life!!!

Story 5

I am a cashier at Sprouts and I have become very attached to one of the customers who shops at my store – her name is Robin and she had a double mastectomy yesterday. I noticed her immediately – she stood tall with her beautiful bald head covered by a hanky or a baseball cap. She walked with confidence and grace and had a beautiful twinkle in her eye and right away I wanted to get to know her. She amazes me so much! I am supposed to go visit her tomorrow – I am hoping she will still feel up to it. I just want to tell you THANK YOU for doing such a beautiful thing! I am a HUUUUGE supporter of breast cancer awareness. Go tatas! :)
